Gardaí have released without charge the latest man being questioned in connection with the death of a Polish man in Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
The man, in his 20s, has been let go as gardaí prepare a file for the Department of Public Prosecutions.
The body of Patryk Krupa (23) was pulled from the River Shannon on Friday night.
Another man, Lezek Scychulec (32) appeared in court yesterday, charged with Mr. Krupa's imprisonment and assault.
A third and fourth man arrested in connection with the death were released without charge after they were questioned over the weekend.
The Irish Daily Mirror's Crime Correspondent Cathal MacMahon told Newstalk's Breakfast gardaí also want to speak to someone who may have been the victim of another assault:
Yesterday there were angry scenes as Mr. Scychulec was charged before court with Mr. Krupa's imprisonment and assault.
Chants of 'scumbag' greeted Mr. Scychulec's arrival at Athlone District Court.
While the crowd of around 70 people jeered and heckled outside, Mr. Scychulec - with an address at 14 Drinan, Ballymahon, Co Longford - was also accused of threatening to kill or cause serious harm to Ewa Krasinska at Athlone garda station on Saturday.
He was remanded in custody and will appear before Cloverhill District Court on Friday June 27th.
It is understood dead man Patryk Krupa, who was Polish, was known to gardaí.
