Gardaí in Co. Offaly are appealing for information about the murder of a man in Edenderry at the weekend.
Thomas 'Toddy' Dooley (64) was found dead at his home in Sister Senan Court on Sunday, he had suffered head and body injuries.
Gardaí are anxious to speak to anyone who may have seen anything unusual in the area - or who may have spoken to the Father of three between Thursday morning and Sunday afternoon.
Officers are examining CCTV footage and carrying out further door to door inquires in the area today.

It's just the latest in a series of violent killings, including the death of Mother of one Sonia Blount in Tallaght, Dublin at the weekend. A man is due in court in connection with her death later this morning.
