A member of the Public Accounts Committee says the gardaí can't be seen to be an 'island that makes its own rules'.
It follows the Garda Commissioner's appearance before the committee yesterday.
Martin Callinan is planning to get legal advice about whether one whistleblower who has made allegations of corruption in the force should attend another committee hearing next week.
