Investigations are continuing into a helicopter crash in Co Longford on Wednesday.

Last night, gardaí arrested the pilot of the helicopter - a man in his 60s from the UK - at Dublin Airport.

He has since been released from Longford garda station without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Two men escaped injury when the aircraft came down hitting the Rustic Inn Bar in Abbeyshrule on Wednesday night.
