The papers cover a variety of stories today but one of the main stories concerned the latest on the reports from Portlaoise Hospital after Minsiter Leo Varadkar met with parents yesterday.

The Irish Times leads with Ireland to express concern over human rights plan and an image of Leo Varadkar who met parents whose children died in Portlaoise hospital.

The Irish Independent features the headline, "Lawyers win again as Troika admits defeat" along with a celebration of the announcement of the Women's Rugby World Cup being held in Ireland.

The Irish Examiner leads with bank powers to veto debt deals curbed and an image of the late great Derek Davis.

The tabloids all lead with various tributes to Derek Davis who sadly passed away yesterday. The Mirror goes with "Royal Terror plot foiled" as four men were arrested yesterday for dissident Republican activity.

The pair also discussed Paul McCartney playing a private gig for celebrities who pledged two billion for poverty.

In the papers, Máire Geoghegan-Quinn wrote in the Irish Times about the upcoming Marriage Referendum. She stated: "Gay people are either equal or they’re not. It is simply unequal to have a situation where a woman can be mother of the bride and mother of the groom for two of her three children but cannot take that role for her gay daughter or her gay son."

Ivan discussed a story about the fact that looks may not be winning you the job as employers discuss whether a photo influences employers.
