One Irish man and seven others will appear in court in England later, charged with conspiracy to burgle in connection with the Hatton Garden jewellery raid in London.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Flying Squad charged Irish man Hugh Doyle (48), Terry Perkins (67), Daniel Jones (58) - all of Enfield - along with William Lincoln (59), of Bethnal Green, and John Collins (74) of north London.
Brian Reeder (76) and Paul Reeder (50) both of Dartford, and Carl Wood (58) of Cheshunt, also face the same charge.
The men have been remanded in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court later.
A ninth man has been bailed pending further inquiries, police say.
The charges come after some 200 officers raided 12 addresses in north London and Kent.
A number of large bags were recovered from one address, and police said they were "confident" the property was stolen during the burglary.
Alex Thompson from Channel 4 News told Newstalk Breakfast says heists like this do not happen too often anymore.
