The High Court has intervened and ruled that a young woman suffering from anorexia nervosa can be fed against her will.
The woman (26), who weighs around 27 kilos or four stone, has been suffering from the disease since she was 12.
Doctors treating the woman believe the intervention is vital to safeguarding her life and health.

The judge said that sadly this was not the first such case to come before him.
