The Irish Times leads with news of ‘Further allegations made about banking inquiry’, while the Independent leads with news of the Law Reform Commission report due out today that will recommend law changes to prevent people profiting from murder, with the headline “’Celine’s Law’ to prevent spouse-killers profiting”.

The Herald and the Sun leads with news of the inquiry into the deaths of a couple of a couple in County Clare last year.

The Irish Mirror leads with ‘Planet Earth 2’ – the news that NASA have found an ‘earth-like’ planet.

Inside the papers, Chris spotted a story about the German Catholic Church, and its incredible tax-raising abilities which are enshrined in German law – an issue which adds a financial element to people’s desire to remain faithful, and led Ivan to ask if you could “Imagine a USC for your religion?”

Ivan spotted a story on a new piece of legislation, the Domestic Violence Bill, that would allow judges to bar domestic violence offenders to communicate with victims via electronic means, and allow witnesses and victims to give evidence by video link to avoid intimidation.

Chris was interested in a story on Donald Trump’s Doonbeg golf course, which has had something of a major bump in its valuation and Ivan was looking at the race among supermarkets to get into the school uniform market.
