Police in London say they believe a body found in the British capital is that of a missing Galway teenager.
Patrick Halpin (18), a DCU student was last seen on Tuesday night, leaving a club in Leicester Square.
Patrick, from Loughrea in Galway, was on a college trip to London when he went missing while on a night out. He left a club on Leicester Square on Tuesday night to get food.
The alarm was raised when it was discovered on Wednesday morning that he hadn't returned to the hostel where the group had been staying.
A search began and Patrick's sister Regina launched a social media campaign to try and find him.
On Galway Bay FM this morning, she paid tribute to the police and to those who have helped with the search:
The search came to an end at around 7.50pm last night, when Metropolitan police found a body in an enclosed area close to Burger King and the Zoo Bar off Leicester Square.
