The pressure of the exams have passed but tomorrow brings another deadline for this year’s leaving cert students, with the CAO change of mind deadline offering a chance for anyone who has had a change of heart since jotting down their chosen courses before the exams began.
Students can change their desired college courses until 5.15pm tomorrow, but how important is your choice of college course?
Betty McLoughlin, President of the Irish Institute of Guidance Counsellors, spoke to Ivan Yates on Breakfast this morning, and explained what options are open to people looking to change their CAO choices, and what someone should look for in a college course – including why the quality of an undergrad degree score is often more important than the subject of the degree.
