Gardai investigating a fatal assault in Dublin are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed a row in Avonbeg Gardens in Tallaght.
44-year-old Karl Holmes, from Tallaght, was attacked and beaten during a row in Avonbeg Gardens at around 5.30pm.
He was taken to Tallaght Hospital after the attack and was pronounced dead a short time later.
The row is believed to have begun over the manner in which a child was riding a bicycle.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination, and a post mortem is taking place this morning.
Gardai say they don't yet know if a weapon was involved.
