New DNA evidence has reportedly come to light in the investigation into the death of Michaela McAreavey (28).

The Tyrone woman was murdered in her hotel room while on honeymoon in Mauritius in 2011.

Her body was found in the bathroom of her hotel suite in the five-star Legends Hotel by her husband, John.

Two men were charged with her murder, but were acquitted of all charges in July 2012.

Reports from Mauritius say a number of suspects have also been identified in new developments in the case.

Mayessen Nagapa-Chetty is a journalist based in Mauritius. He told Newstalk Breakfast that a report has also come back from France, which could have fresh DNA evidence.
