After days of intense protests across the country, the Cabinet are due to meet today about changes to Irish Water bills.

The Cabinet is expected to agree a short delay in the introduction of water charges as part of a new package of measures to be announced tomorrow. 

However, last night, hundreds of people turned out for a demonstration as Enda Kenny arrived for an event, with some surrounding his car, and one man climbing on the bonnet.

Over the weekend, Joan Burton was trapped in her car for over two hours during a protest in Dublin.

This morning, Ivan Yates and Chris Donoghue discussed the water protests and how a 'sinister' element is now evident at some of these protests.

They also spoke to Ocean Fm reporter, Ronan Moyles, also spoke about the protests in Sligo:
