5. 9/11 Firehouse, Thursday, More4, 10pm.
Documentary charting the story of Ten House, the fire station next to the World Trade Centre in New York. The depot's firefighters were the first ones into the buildings following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and the film uses archive images from the day along with dramatic testimonies to reveal the courage of the staff involved in the rescue operation.
Even though the World Trade Centre was destroyed, the firehouse remained standing.
4. Operation Stonehenge – What Lies Beneath, Thursday, BBC2, 8pm
There's no end to theories about why Stonehenge exists and why it was built but this particular documentary looks at some of the revolutionary new research about the structure which is one the oldest historical structures in Europe.
3. The Secret Life of Books, Tuesday, BBC4, 8.30pm.
Simon Russell Beale examines Shakespeare's First Folio, exploring what can be learnt about the Bard's character and his collaborative writing process from this rare printed volume from 1623. With contributions from director Sam Mendes and Director of the National Theatre Nicholas Hytner, as well as solo theatrical performances from the presenter.
2. Women on the Inside, Monday, RTE1, 9.35pm
The first of a two-part documentary offering an insight into the lives of female inmates in Dublin's Mountjoy Prison, some of whom are serving time for crimes such as robbery, murder and drug smuggling. The programme focuses on the issues facing convicts and relates their experiences to the wider challenges facing the prison service.
1. Buses on the Frontline, Monday, BBC1, 10.35pm
The image of a burning double decker bus may have become one of the defining images of the Troubles, but little is known about the workers who risked life and limb to keep the service running. This is the story of the bus drivers, led by the extraordinary German Werner Heubeck, who struggled to maintain a sense of normality in the face of constant threats and hijacks.
