Members of the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) will stage a protest at Beaumont Hospital this lunchtime.
It is to highlight the issue of overcrowding in the emergency department there.
In November, 729 patients had to wait on trolleys for an in-patient bed at the hospital. That is compared with 661 for the same period last year.
And some seriously ill and elderly patients are waiting on trolleys for up to four days for a bed to become available.
It comes after the group called on the Health Minister Leo Varadkar to declare overcrowding in accident and emergency departments a national emergency.
General secretary of the INMO Liam Doran says this demonstration is entirely about the welfare of patients.
While Maura Wynne is a staff nurse in Beaumont's emergency department. She told Newstalk Breakfast patients deserve better.
