It’s just over a month since homeless man Jonathan Corrie passed away in a doorway, meters away from Leinster House.
His death led to an emergency summit on homelessness that was attended by representatives from various interest groups.
A number of measures were decided upon, including promises of beds for every homeless person by Christmas, and local authorities in Dublin were directed to put 50% of all new housing allocations towards vulnerable groups. But have the promises been fulfilled?
Newstalk reporter Richard Chambers spent last night on the streets with Inner City Homeless. He spoke to Sharon, a homeless woman sleeping on Dublin's streets, who explained: "Nothing has changed. People were nice for about a week. Everybody got a bed for about a week and that was it.
"...If John [Jonathan] had died around Stephen's green park, you would have heard nothing. It would have been brushed under the carpet."
