A new poll shows support for a Yes vote in the Same Sex Marriage referendum has fallen.

The Ipsos MRBI poll in today's Irish Times shows that Yes is down 6 to 74 per cent - with the No side up 6 to 26.

It's the first time support for extending marriage rights has fallen since the question was first asked by polls in 2012.

The results was striking for how narrow the margin was, with the No vote pipping the Yes vote with 50.73%, ahead of 49.27%.
