A preliminary search for the body of Cistercian monk Joe Lynskey is currently underway in Co Meath.
Mr Lynskey was abducted in 1972 by the IRA and is one of the 17 so-called Disappeared.
The search is close to the discovery of another Disappeared victim, Brendan Megraw, whose remains were found in a bog outside Oristown, Co Meath last month.
DNA tests conducted since the find confirmed the body as that of Mr McGraw. He was abducted from Twinbrook in Belfast in 1978, and murdered by the IRA.
Geoff Knupfer is head of the investigation team for the Commission for the Location of Victims Remains.
He told Newstalk Breakfast they are hoping to begin a full search for Mr Lynskey soon.
