Members of the power union the TEEU working at Bausch and Lomb will vote today on revised cost saving proposals put forward by management.
The new deal would see the 1,100 staff in Waterford take a pay cut of 7.5%, as well as providing an increase in productivity and accepting changes to the company's sick pay scheme.
The contact lens manufacturer is also seeking 200 voluntary redundancies.
Yesterday, members of the trade union SIPTU, which represents the majority of staff at the plant, voted to accept the cuts.
