A lot of the papers lead with the report from Spain this morning that the Monk's nephew, Gary Hutch, has been killed in Spain.

The Irish Times leads with the migrant story and the fact that there is strong support for the Government's plan. They also feature a picture from the crush at Mecca yesterday.

The Irish Independent features the story about Johnny Ronan yesterday and his Nazi jibe at Nama.

Meanwhile, the Irish Examiner goes with "Over 43,000 referrals made to child protection and welfare services in 2014."

The tabloids mostly lead with the Gary Hutch story from Spain but the Irish Daily Mail's headline is "Grieving mothers enduring hospital torment", a story about women who've lost babies being put on wards with newborns.

The pair also discussed the fact there are two stories about parents lying to their children in the papers this morning. Age 7 is the most common age to talk to children about death.

Ivan brought up a story from the Irish Independent about what three staff at a third level institution were earning to essentially do the same job. Believe us, it was quite a lot.
