The papers this morning lead with various headlines but the broadsheets deal mainly with the latest on the IBRC saga and the Dáil debate which continued well into the night last night.

The Irish Independent leads with that story and the headline "O'Brien's campaign to get his €315 million loan extended".

"Fresh O'Brien claims threaten inquiry" is the lead in the Irish Examiner while the Irish Times lead with the KPMG loan concerning businessman Denis O'Brien.

The scheme to deal with lead found in pipes across homes in Ireland by Irish Water also features heavily in the papers this morning.

The tabloids also go with various headlines but some lead with the Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane crash which happened last night. Neither were seriously injured.

The Irish Daily Star goes with the "axing" of John Giles this weekend as the commentator will not be covering the match this weekend.

The pair discussed a story from the Irish Examiner which stated that over-washing can damage our immune system according to a new study.

They also talked about reports of the number of women who have travelled to the UK for an abortion. Amnesty International yesterday stated that our abortion laws are violating human rights.

And there was a sincere apology from Grahame Morris who claimed that Ireland has a 'mutant lawn weed' as its national symbol and people 'can't verbalise the difference between tree and the number three'.

However speaking to Sky News, he admitted he had got himself into a 'hell of a pickle' over the comments, and said he's 'very sorry'.

Ivan, on the other hand, is never really sorry...
