The papers lead with various headlines this morning but the main stories across the broadsheets was the Trichet banking inquiry story from yesterday.

The Irish Times leads with hundreds of colonoscopy patients who will be recalled following scans but also features the story about Trichet evidence yesterday.

The Irish Independent features the story on Trichet but it also discusses Patrick Honohan's decision to step down as Governor of the Central Bank.

Trichet also makes the front page of the Irish Examiner with his claim that he didn't force the bailout on Ireland. It also looks at a story about a Cork stag party being a "national embarrassment".

The tabloids goes with various headlines from the baby who was found alive in Nepal on the front of the Mirror to the priest who paid a hitman to go after his nephew on the Sun.

The pair discussed a story about Leitrim possibly not being able to pick a rose for the Rose of Tralee. Ivan wanted to know was it because they were, quote, "mingers" or if there just isn't enough girls then gave out to Chris for saying some of the most beautiful roses are from Leitrim, apparently a pseudo compliment.

They also talked about the fact that Richard Bruton was not picked for selection for Election 2016. Ivan Yates said in his day they didn't worry about democracy.
