The issue of Aer Lingus took centre stage with Willie Walsh discussing the IAG bid and guaranteeing certain slots for the UK and Ireland. Several of the broadsheets reported that Walsh said he had no intention of walking away from the offer the company have made for the airline.

The Sun went with "Church gun horror" as the shooting at a wedding in Fermanagh dominated a lot of the tabloid headlines this morning.

On top of that, Jedward could be participating in the Eurovision for Australia with Ivan stating that "the Aussies don't know what they're letting themselves in for."

Other stories from the papers included the conviction of the daughter of Korean Air boss following 'nut rage', the possible cancellation of the Galway Races and the trial of the man who shot the famous American Sniper.

Well, Ivan was particularly upset about the possible cancellation of the races: "Galway is synonymous with that week of entertainment. Go into Galway Bay for a bypass, leave Ballybrit alone."
