The front pages of the broadsheets today carry a broad range of stories, with the Examiner reporting on the Mulcair family, whose baby daughter Caoimhe died in 2009 at University Hospital Limerick, and who received an apology from the HSE on Monday.
The Independent has a picture of the Corrs, with the news that the Irish group are due to make a comeback with a gig in London and a new album.
The Irish Times meanwhile reports that the Minister for Finance is to brief the Cabinet later today on Ireland’s financial situation in advance of the Budget.
In the tabloids, the Sun also leads with the Mulcaire family. The Mirror reports on a fatal car crash in Co Down, while The Star reports that Gardaí are “to smash €2,500 GAA final touts”.
The Mail reports on OECD findings that up t 40,000 people have no incentive to work as it doesn’t pay more than social welfare.
Inside the papers we were back to aviation, with Chris spotting a story on a potential airline route opening up between Ireland and China, while Ivan talked us through a report on an Aer Arann challenge in the High Court against the government decision to award the Aran Islands contract to Executive Helicopters.
