Thousands of litres of hooch, or illegally brewed alcohol, have been found in Irish prisons.

Chris accused the Midlands Prison of being the "most guilty", with 321 litres seized there in 2014 alone.

While former Justice Minister Norah pointed out that alcohol would smell strongly at fermentation and it is being hidden in plastic containers in cells which she is amazed weren't discovered at cell turnovers.

"These are entrepreneurial people" the former politician said.
