U2 helped to kick off Jimmy Fallon’s first Tonight Show in style last night.

Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen, Jr. and joined a feast of stars such as  Will Smith, Robert De Niro, Tina Fey, Seth Rogen, Kim Kardashian, Sarah Jessica Parker, Rudy Giuliani, Mariah Carey, Mike Tyson, and Lady Gaga who were all there to support the comic who was taking over hosting duties from Jay Leno on NBC.

The Irish band performed its song "Invisible" on the rooftop of Rockefeller Center, 70 stories above New York City in a performance that Jimmy Fallon promised would ‘blow the pants off you’

Bono then continued on the show by serenading Fallon with an acoustic version of "Ordinary Love," as his fellow bandmates helped and Will Smith looked on. Bono did point out that the performance was not as spontaneous as it was made out to be – saying “"Is this one of those spontaneous showbiz moments where things appear from behind the couch?” And lo and behold – there was a guitar!
