A school in Wexford is trying to raise the money to send a high-achieving asylum seeker to university.
The people of New Ross have rallied behind Nadia Prochukham, who scored 615 points in her Leaving Certificate - even though she only came to the area from Russia three years ago.
St Mary's Secondary School is hoping to raise the €15,000 fee to send Nadia to Trinity College Dublin.
She has been accepted for a General Science course in Trinity - but faces the high fees due to her asylum seeker status.
They have been helped out by a "generous" anonymous donor.
Nadia has paid tribute to school authorities and the Wexford community for all their help in recent weeks.
The principal of St. Mary's Secondary School, John Michael Parker, told Newstalk Breakfast they already have enough money for her first year.
And the Education Minister Jan O'Sullivan told Newstalk Breakfast she will look at the case.
