A few rats have been climbing out of the sewers thanks to the ongoing Luas works and some went to Leinster House last Friday to pay a visit.
There were a few squealing TDs as the four legged furry friend scampered about, with some tucking their trousers into their legs for extra precaution.

Labour TD for Dublin South East Kevin Humphreys took charge of the situation and put a bin over the rat, slipping some cardboard underneath to deal with the situation in a humane way.
Incidentally, the word 'rat' is on the list of words banned from use in the Dáil.
