You may remember the name Ludovic Giuly gracing some of the world's top clubs not so very long ago.
The former France international had a successful playing career, reaching the 2004 Champions League final with Monaco, winning two La Liga titles with Barcelona and also having spells at Roma and PSG before winding down his career at Monaco and Lorient over the past two seasons.
The 37-year-old had slipped off the radar somewhat in recent years but is back in the headlines in France.
Back playing in the amateur leagues for his first ever club, Monts d'Or Azergues, Giuly has become honorary president and captain of the Chasselay-based team. Even the club's home ground is named after him.
But that's not why he is back in the French news.
Mont d'Or Azergues beat Ligue 2 side Istres in the last-64 of the Coupe de France and fate intervened to hand Giuly an unlikely cup tie against his former club Monaco in the last-32 tonight.
Even though the chances of victory are slim, there's something heartening about a player returning to his roots for the love of the game.
