Mona McSharry set Ireland's 18th national record at the World Shortcourse Swimming Championships, in her third final of the meet.
Her time of 2:20.19 was good enough for 7th in the final of the women's 200m breaststroke.
McSharry had been in the bronze medal position, before being pushed down the field in the final 50m.
The Sligo swimmer's final time shaved nearly a second-and-a-half of the previous national best which she'd only set in the morning's semi-finals.
Less than 24-hours previously, McSharry took bronze in the 100m breaststroke.
Daniel Wiffen had qualified for the men's 1500m freestyle in an Irish record time, but it went untroubled in Tuesday afternoon's final.
The Armagh native was 8th in a time of 14:36.78. Germany's Florian Wellbrock set a new world record by claiming gold in 14:06.88.
It was Wiffen's first international final in the event.
Meanwhile, Jack McMillan swam under 47-seconds in the final of the men's 100m freestyle, but had to settle for 7th position.
