Earlier this month, the IDA revealed that the pace of inward investment had slowed compared to last year. The State’s inward investment agency said it had secured 139 investments in the first six months of the year - down 10pc on the same time the previous year. The number of jobs that could be created was also down 33% on the first half of last year.
It all shows that competition is hotting up from other European countries to get Foreign direct Investment. Joe caught up with the Chief executive of the IDA Michael Lohan and began by asking him about that competition
