We have nearly become customers of the presence of international companies here which provides very well-paid jobs and make Ireland one of the wealthiest countries in Europe. The downside of that is the dependency on foreign direct investment at the expense of creating our own national champions. One body thinks we need to wean ourselves off on that dependence venture capitalists
