Every year billions of dollars are extorted from companies all over the world by hackers and state-backed rogue traders. It’s a dilemma that every single company faces. Once they are hacked, should they pay the ransom and enrich gangsters or should they risk their own and their clients’ personal data being sold all over the world.
Elaine Hanley, who is a Partner at IBM Security Services in Dublin believes that companies should never pay a ransom and Elaine spoke to Joe this morning on the show.
