The next phase of the Personal Injury Resolution Board Act comes into force this week

The Personal Injury Assessment Board or PIAB has been with us for a few years and its aim is to cut the legal costs for personal injuries or so-called ‘slips and trips’ as well as slashing the exorbitant public liability insurance costs which Irish companies have to pay due to enormous payouts in the courts.  The next phase of the Personal Injury Resolution Board Act comes into force this week and the minister in charge of that is Dara Calleary TD, Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation.
