This time last year the average price of wholesale energy used to create electricity was around €47 per megawatt/hour.  Today in Europe it’s closer to €300. 

The political pressure is on to do something at national and EU level and today the President of the EU commission - Ursula Von der Leyen - gives her much anticipated State of the European Union speech.
