It seems the chaos in Downing Street shows no signs of stopping and while Prime Minister Boris Johnson, on the one hand, seems beset by problems, on the other hand, he’s publishing white papers on leveling up the economy.

David Smith who is the Economics Editor of The Sunday Times wrote this week in the Times that the UK economy is drifting and has what he termed ‘dismal growth' prospects.
