Attraction is a complex and powerful force.

While many of us are drawn to looks first, there are many different things at play - be it face shape, body shape, symmetry, femininity, masculinity, social or cultural factors etc.

So what is actually going on when we feel that butterfly fluttering in our stomach or get that sting from an unexpected spark?

David Puts, Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology at Pennsylvania State University joins Jonathan to discuss the rules that govern attraction and why we gravitate towards the people we do.
