We live in a dynamic and ever changing world and at our scale perhaps the only things that appear to be eternal and unchanging are the stars in the sky.
So you can imagine it would be a little disconcerting when one of them just inexplicably disappears.
But not so much for Andrew Allan, PhD candidate in Astrophysics and part of the Jose Groh’s Massive Star and Supernovae Group at Trinity College Dublin.
