If you’ve ever posted something on social media about climate change, vaccination or even the Earth being round you’re probably aware that for some people proof does not necessarily equate to belief.

Indeed, nowadays it can sometimes feel like reason itself is under attack.

So how should scientists fight back? 

Lee McIntyre, Research Fellow at the Center for Philosophy and History of Science at Boston University and Author of 'The Scientific Attitude - Defending Science from Denial, Fraud and Pseudoscience' joins Jonathan to discuss.
