Bowed but unbroken by blindness in 1998, Mark Pollock became an adventure athlete competing in ultra-endurance races across deserts, mountains, and the polar ice caps including being the first blind person to race to the South Pole.

But in a cruel twist of fate in 2010, falling from a 2nd floor window, Mark broke his back and the damage to his spinal cord left him paralysed.

Jonathan meets Mark, his medical team and life-partner Simone George, joining him on his next journey - to stand alone.

First aired: Sat, 21 May 2016
