It’s not often that a star (at least of the astronomical type) captures the public imagination. Indeed KIC 8462852 might be the only exception to that rule.
It made news headlines worldwide and inspired thousands of citizen scientists to get involved in researching it. It has been called the most mysterious star in the universe but is perhaps better known as Tabby’s star.
So what is so special about Tabby’s star? Who better to ask than Tabby herself?
