"Seagulls have taken over Balbriggan" More birds than humans

Residents across Fingal are demanding action, saying the Department of Culture Heritage and the Gaeltacht ( Who are in charge of the seagulls) have shown an utter disregard for the welfare of the public, describing it as a whitewash. Henry McKean asks should we just cull them?

 

There are now 5,000 breeding gull pairs in North Fingal who produce 20,000 chicks by early summer that’s according to a Freedom of Information request by the Irish Times, the problem is getting out of hand. Henry visited Balbriggan and met local Balbriggan people, the town is the fastest growing in the country up to 26,000.
