The number of school-leavers choosing apprenticeships has doubled in recent years. However – a gender gap persists -with women accounting for just over 3 per cent – or 600 – of the 17,500 apprentices. Why is that? Why are women still so unlikely to go into these kinds of jobs? Ciara chats to Jen Kelly, Founder of Women In Trades Network Ireland and hears from listeners
