Gardai investigating an attack on a young woman in Dundrum in Dublin say they do not believe it was racially motivated and are not investigating it as a ‘hate crime’. The victim, who has just completed her Leaving Certificate, made a complaint to gardaí detailing the assault and alleging the attackers had pulled off the hijab she was wearing.
