A listener got in touch: '...my Dad was very recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's, he is only 71. We are very close family, my Mum is absolutely devastated as are my two brothers and I...He is in the early stages of his diagnosis, and most of the time still very much him and very lucid but at times he isn’t himself at all – we are all scared and heart broken and don’t know what to expect, or how fast things will change. We don’t really know how to talk to him about it...We are probably expecting the worst and the unknown aspect of what comes next is difficult, have any of your listeners been through the same thing and have advice?' Ciara chats to Former Minister for Justice Nora Owen, whose husband Brian has been living with Alzheimer's for 15 years, and hears from listeners.
