Junior Minister Patrick O’Donovan has told a Fine Gael parliamentary party meeting that those involved in the riots last week should be “punished financially” and have their welfare stopped.
He questioned whether any of the rioters worked saying that most of them were in bed when the rest of the country was up working to pay taxes for their lifestyle.
