A listener got in touch with the show: I am having a bit of an issue with some of my siblings. I haven't visited my Dad since the lock down came in and some of them are not happy with me. The reason I haven't visited my Dad is that he is over 80 years old, extremely serious health issues and I am listening to the advice of the CMO, Leo and virtually every ad break on TV and radio telling me not to....I could never forgive myself I was responsible for infecting my Dad with this virus. Unlikely that I would, but I'm going to take that chance. Am I alone in this?
What do you think about that? Have you found yourself in a similar situation? Are your family putting you under pressure to visit someone cocooning?
And, Ciara chats to Maura Walsh CEO of IRD Duhallow whose new report has found that many people who are cocooning feel that they are a burden on society, are terrified of dying alone and believe that the country doesn’t care about them anymore.
