For the first time, the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment is drafting proposals for two different curricula in Leaving Cert Irish  

One, known at Teanga 1 (T1), would be aimed at native speakers and all-Irish schools and the other, T2, would be for English medium schools. Each could be taken at higher or ordinary level. 

Proposals would see a more challenging curriculum for native-speakers and all-Irish schools
