A teenage patient is pleading with the Minister for Education to fix the wifi at Crumlin childrens hospital so he and other patients can continue their education. Andrea hears from James, his mother Vicky and listeners.
In response to the call, Crumlin's children's hospital said " Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin has free patient Wi-Fi available in the majority of its inpatient rooms only. Rooms have weaker coverage. We encourage any inpatients and their families who have difficulty in connecting to the inpatient Wi-Fi, or have remote educational needs, to let their Ward Manager know and every effort will be made by the hospital to facilitate their needs. The hospital is in the process of carrying out an audit of inpatient room Wi-Fi locations which will identify the inpatient rooms where there is weak/poor Wi-Fi signal. Once completed, the hospital will put in the necessary measures in place to improve the inpatient Wi-Fi experience.
