An initiative in Dublin plans to reduce the speed limit to 30km/h across the city. This is something we have talked about on the show before.
Campaigners say this lower limit makes roads safer for all users and promotes active travel by making cyclists and pedestrians feel secure.
Reporting the story, The Journal.ie point out that it is in fact rural roads with speed limits of 80km/h that account for the vast majority of road deaths in Ireland.
